Time, like a place, has a ripple effect on our lives, harnessing the moments that define our days. And there was no time like the present moment to relook at Mattamy Home’s Clockwork community brand. Set within burgeoning North Oakville, and having already launched two phases, Mattamy wanted us to reinvigorate the brand and have it appeal to a more modern and dynamic buyer. The current system was an homage to the past, with a mark that aged the community and a system that did not reflect our audience and their lifestyle aspirations.
So, we picked up the pace, and reset the system to Oakville standard time. First, we refined the logo, placing emphasis on the ‘O.’ Designed to rotate in a circular motion evoking the passage of time, this dynamic animation highlighted the diverse offerings available at Clockwork 3 at any time of day. The ‘O’ also served as a versatile design element, symbolizing the interconnectedness of time and experience. With Clockwork already having completed two phases, our goal was to strike a balance between maintaining familiarity and introducing a fresh perspective. From a two-day photo and video shot, capturing the essence of everyday life in Oakville, leveraged across social, digital, and experiential, to a system that moves in the motion of modern design principles, Clockwork 3 ushered in a new dawn for the condo community, where everything is on our side.
